Community Engagement: Elevating User Experience Through the Life Styles Website
Problem. The original Lifestyles website presented an interface that was visually overwhelming and difficult to navigate, particularly for users with cognitive, visual, and motor disabilities. Dense layouts, inconsistent navigation, and limited accessibility considerations created barriers that made it harder for users to access the services and resources they needed with confidence. Concept. Through accessibility research and a refined visual system, the redesign focused on bridging the gap between users and their technology. The goal was to transform the website into an inclusive, intuitive experience while preserving the organization's vibrant identity. By simplifying structure and clarifying visual hierarchy, the concept centered on making interaction more approachable and supportive for all users. Solution. The final redesign prioritizes accessibility, usability, and independence. Clear navigation, improved visual contrast, and thoughtful interaction patterns create a digital environment that better supports users with a range of abilities. The result is a platform that empowers individuals to engage with Lifestyles’ resources more confidently and seamlessly.
